Housing Resources

If you or someone you know is experiencing a housing crisis—such as imminent eviction or living without shelter—contact 211 for immediate assistance in locating emergency housing, shelter beds, or rental support programs. For those in Portland, you can also reach the Joint Office of Homeless Services at 503-988-2526 for referrals to local resources. In extreme weather or unsafe conditions, seek shelter at the nearest warming or cooling center, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger.

Mental Health Resources

Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening situation, such as imminent harm to self or others. While 988 is available for mental health crises, 911 should be contacted for situations requiring immediate physical intervention or involving potential violence. 

Employment Resources

If you or someone you know is in immediate need of job assistance, contact your local WorkSource center by calling 503-280-6046 in the Portland area or visiting WorkSourceOregon.org to find the nearest location. These centers provide free access to job listings, résumé support, interview preparation, and training programs. You can also call 211 to connect with employment assistance, career counseling, and programs offering paid training or apprenticeships. For urgent situations—such as unsafe working conditions—contact Oregon OSHA at 1-800-922-2689.
